The story goes that Hunter S. Thompson met up with Elvis in Vegas and got married
in 3 minutes flat and then divorced 45 minutes later. Although not confirmed, it
is rumoured that winemaker Adi Badenhorst owes his existence to this union.
After growing up in a barrel, Adi then went on to make a name for himself at Rustenberg.
Recently he and his cousin, Hein, bought the farm, Kalmoesfontein, situated on the
Malmesbury side of the Paardeberg. It is here that Adi crafts small quantities of
wine destined for collectors from all over the known world.
These are the flock in our fold. Small, independent family owned and operated wineries,
passionate about the Swartland. Practicing responsible farming techniques and delivering
small quantities of handcrafted wine. All the grapes are from the Swartland.

crushed stone and spring flowers.
